Sessional Care and Support Workers 

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED CARE / SUPPORT WORKER?
       WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED WORKERS WHO CAN WORK 
ON A SESSIONAL CONTRACT INCLUDING WEEKEND WORKING

       YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: 

       1.    To provide personal care and support to people with learning disabilities / mental health issues.
       2.    To listen, observe and to communicate in different ways.
       3.    To support people in line with health care plans, including administering medication.
       4.    To support the planning, delivery and development of services.
       5.    To support people who have complex needs and who may be seen as challenging.
       6.    Working within agreed structured guidelines to provide consistency alongside other team members.
       7.    Ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times.
8.    To work in accordance with Vibrance/HAIL’s policies and procedures.

9.    Attending supervisions, team meetings, and training sessions identified by HAIL/Vibrance and work

       towards relevant qualifications.

  1. To respect the confidentiality of customers and the organisation at all times.
  2. To work within the framework and structure of all regulatory bodies including reporting any concerns

around abuse or potential abuse through safeguarding policy and procedures.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality and effective support to customers with a Learning Disability and/or Autism, which promotes their independence, wellbeing and inclusion within the community. 

Essential criteria include: 

• Experience of supporting a person with a learning disability and/or Autism. 
• A positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities. 
• A commitment to promoting choice. 
• An understanding and commitment of the rights of people with disabilities. 
• Able to carry out personal care. 
• Able to work varying shift times. 
• Ability to adapt to a few challenging environments. 

This role includes administrative tasks and requires candidates who are able to produce reports, attend meetings and develop support plans with our customers that meet goals and ambitions.

Travel Trainers - Wandsworth

 £9.20 per hour

 

Are you looking for a few hours work each day?

Perhaps you are retired or with grown up children at school or college?

Or you are needing experience for a career in teaching or occupational therapy?

Do you like teaching new skills and travelling on public transport?

 

If the answer is YES to all the above……. HAIL need YOU to work with young people aged 13-20  with disabilities in the Wandsworth Area.

 

  • Candidates should be over the age of 18, enthusiastic and physically fit, and enjoy working with young people and being out and about in their local community each day.  
  • You also need to be able to work well with families and carers. 
  • Successful applicants will be employed on a sessional basis, to work with trainee travelers daily during term time, both in the mornings and afternoons, with some opportunities for work outside of term time.
  • The purpose of the work is to teach young people how to access public transport and improve their independence in the community.
  • Full training and support is given to all successful candidates.
  • Candidates will need a good standard of communication both written and verbal.
  • All candidates are required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

HAIL Vacancy – Project Manager (Residential Services)

HAIL is an innovative voluntary organisation that supports people with a learning disability/and or autism to lead independent lives.  We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager (permanent full-time, working 37.5 hours per week and based in North London) to fill a key role in our residential services.

 We are looking for a committed manager to support our customers and staff to move our services further to promote sustainability and personalisation, which retains good standards of support.

  • Good IT skills.
  • Willing to be proactive to make great changes to the whole service.
  • Ability to manage resources with good budget management skills.

 Scp (30–32)  £25,695 - £27,187 per annum incl. OLW (un-qualified).

 Scp (32–34)  £27,187 - £28,683 per annum incl. OLW (qualified NVQ Level 4/QCF Level 5 or equivalent).

HAIL is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic members of staff to join our staff team in a number of roles of workers to help support people with a learning disability, mental health issues and autism and other vulnerable people to lead their own lives. 

What we are looking for?
